The Journal of Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal employing a double-blind review process. It has been published since 2009 by the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Shiraz University, and since 2023, pursuant to a joint cooperation agreement with the Iranian Association of Constitutional Law, to advance legal scholarship and promote in-depth research across the field of law. The Journal is committed to maintaining rigorous academic and professional standards while fostering scholarly discussion in the major branches of legal studies, including Private Law, Criminal Law and Criminology, International Law, and Public Law, as well as their related sub-disciplines. It also seeks to encourage research that addresses emerging legal developments and contemporary issues within these fields. In pursuit of these objectives, the Journal welcomes original research articles from university faculty members, legal scholars, and postgraduate students in law and related disciplines. All submissions undergo a rigorous scientific evaluation through the Journal's double-blind peer-review process and are considered for publication based on their scholarly merit and compliance with the Journal's editorial standards.
